Internship

Full time credit based internships available at the Palmetto Trail  based in Columbia SC. Part time positions are also available.This program is designed for college juniors, seniors and recent graduates that are interested in trail management, the environment and conservation. This program offers hands on expereince in trail development, maintenance, environmental stewardship, and project managment along the Palmetto trail .

Duration: The program runs 10 to 12 weeks aligning with typical academic semesters (fall, spring, summer). We are recruiting for spring 27, summer 27.

Location: Midlands Region of the Palmetto Trail in South Carolina. Summer interns will be assigned to a specific region based on project needs.

Compensation :This is a non paid, credit based internship. However, a living stipend will be provided and housing imay be available in the Midlands Region. 

Core Responsibilities: Interns will be involved in the following but not limited to the following activities: Trail development, trail maintenance , habitat/pollinator restoration, volunteer education, project management, and data collection. This is a good opportunity to observe and support a conservation based non profit organization.
