Jr. SOC Analyst - Third Shift - 3am - 11am ET
Overview
AgileBlue is offering a unique opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity or a related field to gain real-world experience as a member of a professional Security Operations Center team. Jr. SOC Analysts will receive comprehensive training from the AgileBlue staff during an onboarding period before integrating into our 24/7 analyst team, supporting customer’s cybersecurity efforts, including nights and weekends.
Responsibilities:
Develop a thorough understanding of AgileBlue's platform and Security Operations procedures
Investigate suspicious activities, contain and prevent them
Analyze security breaches to identify the root cause
Perform incident monitoring, response, triage, and investigations
Document, prioritize, and analyze security threats, incidents, and key metrics
Review daily and periodic data to identify, report, and remedy vulnerabilities
Offer outstanding customer support to all customers via phone and email
Conduct proactive and ad-hoc threat hunts in customer environments and produce comprehensive threat hunting reports for user consumption
Adhere to documented playbooks and procedures on a customer-by-customer bases
Qualifications
Enrolled in a collegiate Cybersecurity or similar program
U.S. Citizen
Demonstrate a strong understanding of basic SOC procedures, threats, and cybersecurity concepts
Excellent attention to detail and written communication
Ability to commit to a minimum of two 8-hour shifts within the available schedule period, including off-hours and weekends
Self-motivated, fast learner who is comfortable working independently within a team structure
