CANDIDATES NEEDED FOR TUESDAY/THURSDAY SHIFTS BETWEEN NOON-5 pm
HIRING CAREER PEERS FOR SPRING 2019 – MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Career Peers are dynamic CWRU students who work an average of 6-8 hour/week and up to 12 hours/week during peak employer recruitment time periods. As student paraprofessionals, Career Peers are trained in career services. They also serve as ambassadors for Post Graduate Planning and Experiential Education by supporting goals of the Student Success Initiative.

Key job activities:
-Review job-related documents, resumes, cover letters, and provide assistance in LinkedIn profile creation.
-Assist students with accessing career information via online resources, such as Handshake and the Alumni Career Network-Wisr.
-Fulfill programming/workshop requests with student organizations on career-related topics.
-Explain preparation for career fair attendance and support coordination efforts of career fair volunteers.
-Support special projects, sometimes involving research/data gathering on career trends or topics and share information with professional staff.
-Assist with marketing of Post Graduate Planning & Experiential Education programs and services.

Requirements:
-Be of sophomore or junior academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
-Willingness and availability to work up to 12 hours per week with 6-8 hours scheduled in drop-in services.
-Must be available to attend training on Jan. 10-11, 2019.
-Strong organizational and time management skills.
-Demonstrated leadership skills or desire to gain leadership experience.
-Ability to work on a team and be a dedicated team player.
-Experience or desire to gain experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
