Overview:
This position is located in the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Cybersecurity, Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The OCIO is responsible for advancing the Department’s missions through policy, standards, and services that meet mission requirements, balance risk and innovation, and set clear performance goals and expectations for the enterprise information ecosystem. The OCIO strives to continually improve the provision of information technology (IT) services and strengthen the Department’s cybersecurity posture to enable its customers to perform the Department’s mission while providing exemplary stewardship of taxpayer dollars through effective, efficient, and innovative management.
Intern assignments will include:
The intern would be assigned to work on projects associated with Cybersecurity Operations or Policy and Compliance and perform work associated with the following activities:
- Security architecture design and integration
- Data integration and analytics
- Cybersecurity risk management
- Vulnerability monitoring and assessment
- Federal policy compliance and reporting
- Assessments and Authorizations
Prefer students majoring in the following disciplines (example):
- Cybersecurity
- Computer Science
- Network Technology
- Data Science
