The SCA Associate Pharmacy Clerk (LHI) will perform duties and responsibilities related to the general overall support of assigned work areas within the Distribution Operations Center (DOC). Work may require the use of a computer database in assigned work areas to include: shipping and receiving, kitting and assembly, vaccine storage and distribution, scanning, and facility support, as briefly described below.

Working Schedule: This position has the standard working hours of either working from Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm OR 3:00pm to 12:00am.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Shipping and Receiving: Complete daily tasks to include but not limited to; preparing, shipping and receiving all inbound and outbound shipments, printing and shipping post group event paper work, processing and metering USPS mail, process and ship expedited orders. Pick - up and deliver packages between LHI locations and outside vendors
  • Kitting and Assembly: Assist with daily ship kit order processing and shipping, assemble and maintain ship kit inventories, configure and ship PHA, EKG and IMR supplies. Recover and reconfigure returned supplies and EKG data, maintain all Kitting and Assembly supply inventory
  • Vaccine Storage: Process daily vaccine group event orders to include shipping and recovery, communicate with group event staff, vaccine check - in and recovery, assist with maintaining VAWD and vaccine storage and handling requirements
  • Scanning: Sort, prepare and scan medical documentation into LHI and Government furnished databases. Prepare original documentation for return shipment back to the customer. Complete tasks utilizing Government furnished databases to review medical requirements and create orders to assist other departments within LHI
  • Facility Support: Provide assistance with inventory management and stock control, maintain inventory reports, prepare and ship inventory orders, assist with inventory receipt and asset tag management, and assist with basic facility maintenance duties to keep DOC operations running smoothly and efficiently
  • Other: Ability to learn internal database systems. Assist additional LHI departments outside of the DOC with operational tasks such as: CACREV, C:File lookup, and flu shot updates

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • Minimum of 6 months experience with Microsoft Word (creating and editing documents), Microsoft Excel (general spreadsheet navigation) and Microsoft Outlook (calendar and email)
  • Valid driver's license; Capable of driving company vehicles to assist with packages and mail deliveries
  • United States Citizenship; Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission of Defense Health Agency eQuip For SF86

Preferred Qualifications:
  • OSHA Safety certification
  • Knowledge of safety standards in a warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of vaccine cold chain management and procedures
  • Production assembly and packaging experience
  • Warehouse, shipping / receiving, quality control experience
  • Inventory control experience
  • Experience with Government contracting or military environment
  • Knowledge of military medical readiness requirements
  • Forklift Certification

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work extended periods of time in refrigerated or freezer environments
  • Capable of lifting up to 35lbs frequently (34-66% of the time)
  • Physical ability to bend, reach, twist, package and transport (shift/roll/push/pull multi-sized packages that range from 10 – 35lbs frequently and 50+lbs occasionally to rarely with assistance

  • Must be dependable with the ability to perform responsibilities with minimal or zero supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
