Designer

The role of a Designer is critical to that calling. As a Designer, you work closely with clients, the Client Relations team and Senior Designers to provide support in how to execute telos engagements. Designers serve as the primary design team contact for all logistical matters related to facilitated sessions. You gather requirements from a Senior Designer, translate them into actionable items, execute to the plan, give periodic reporting status, identify issues and raise them to the appropriate people, and make recommendations.

Reporting Relationship
The Designer reports to the Chief Experience Officer.

Responsibilities
  • Use telos values to guide decision making, build relationships, solve problems and lead by example
  • Engage with the client and Client Relations teams to gather and share information as needed
  • Provide support for the requirements and scope management processes
  • Support and execute high-level design decisions through content creation
  • Design and develop project collateral (i.e. facilitator guides, instructional materials, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, etc.)
  • Ensure session design and collateral support engagement goals
  • Help manage client and Client Relations team’s expectations, primarily through timely and accurate status reporting
  • Serve as the primary design team contact for all logistical matters related to facilitated sessions (i.e. printing, site logistics, etc.)
  • Facilitate design reviews and walkthroughs for key engagement deliverables
  • Identify issues, raise them appropriately, and make recommendations to mitigate issues
  • Participate in regularly scheduled internal team calls
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties including updating Project Management software in a timely manner

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience as an instructional designer
  • Background in adult learning, organizational development, and/or Intentional Change Theory preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to self-manage
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to gather client requirements and translate them into actionable items
  • Professional, dependable, timely, organized, dedicated, and adaptable to a rapidly changing, growth-oriented company environment
  • Ability to be flexible, be coachable yourself, and be open to feedback and adapting your approach to the way we teach and work with members
  • Strong technical skills with demonstrated ability to learn multiple software systems and applications
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace and project management tools
