Next Gen Leader/Pastor

Job Posting: Next Gen Leader/Pastor at First Presbyterian Church Branson, Missouri

Overview: First Presbyterian Church (FPC) Branson, a part of the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO), is seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to serve as our Next Gen Leader/Pastor. This role is perfect for someone with a heart for revitalizing our student and family community while connecting with younger generations. Located in the heart of downtown Branson and surrounded by the beauty of the Ozark Mountains, FPC Branson is committed to embracing the next generation and nurturing our covenant partners across all generations. This position requires a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a deep love for children and youth, and a passion for making disciples as outlined in Matthew 28:19-20.

Position Focus: The Next Gen Leader/Pastor will be instrumental in developing and implementing creative outreach strategies aimed at connecting with families both inside and outside of our church walls. We are looking for a leader who will influence students and families through their life witness, be a visible presence in the community, and provide discipleship and mentorship to all ages. This leader will play a key role in engaging with students and families, supporting spiritual growth, and contributing to the broader mission and vision of FPC Branson.

Responsibilities:

Outreach: Build connections with local schools and the broader community to engage unchurched or disconnected students. Create outreach and service opportunities that resonate with children, students, and families.

Spiritual Development: Lead Bible studies, small groups, and worship services tailored to the needs of younger generations. Teach and disciple students and families in their faith journey.

Mentorship: Build relationships with students, young adults, and families, providing guidance and encouragement as they navigate life and grow in their faith.

Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers who work with students and young adults, ensuring they are equipped and supported in their roles.

Collaboration: Work alongside other church leaders to integrate the Next Gen ministry into the overall mission of FPC Branson and align with ECO’s values and goals.

Administration: Oversee the logistics, budget, and communication related to Next Gen programs, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with all child protection policies.

Parent Partnership: Foster communication with and support for parents, empowering them as primary spiritual influencers. Provide resources and opportunities for family discipleship.

Qualifications:

Personal commitment to faith in Jesus Christ, in alignment with the Essential Tenets of ECO.

Experience in working with students and families in a church or community outreach context.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to people of all ages.

Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Proficiency in basic computer skills and social media platforms.

Must pass a background check and be vetted on social media platforms.

Salary and Benefits: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
